Subject: 2004 vibration resolved!

Hi everybody. Quite a while agao i posted about a vibration in my 2004 quad cab 3.7. The vibration occured between 60-70 kph (NOT mph) and not limited to any driving condition (braking, neutral, accelerating etc...) and felt it everywhere. Since then i have been to the dealer many times (too many) with no luck (they tried a couple of small things but...). Anyways, as the expiration date for my warranty approached i decided to try one more time. This time i was a little more adamant and politely complained about the lack of service (i.e. "it's supposed to be like that, it's a truck", not good enough and asked them to put it on paper). This time they took me a little more seriously, i was also willing to pay for a few things if need be, through trial and error. After shelling out a few bucks for things i probably should have to pay for anyways, they found the problem. They said it was fixed when they balanced the drive shaft but it wasn't. So they decided to change the drive shaft (under warranty) and voila, it worked. Smooth as butter now! Maybe this will work for you. Feels like a new truck, i was ready to get rid of it. Now all i have to do is change the crappy stock shocks and it'll feel better than new!

Why those bozos! Since they claimed it wasn't the driveshaft because they had balanced it you shouldn't have to shell out any cash. But that's a stealership for ya.
