Message: Has the temp drop significantly? The lower temps may simply be causing poorer gas mileage...otherwise, I'd say check your tire pressure and your O2 sensors.

Message: GB2000 is right on . Might ad a cat starting to plug to that list but most likely it's the colder weather. You never mentioned where you live . Got to consider winter gas being mixed different which also lowers fuel millage. colder weather makes your tires stay colder lowering your air pressure with no loss of air. It also stiffens the grease and fluids in your drive train . Running your heater all the time with the defrosters on cycles your compresure all the time. Deal is, there are several things making it harder to push your truck down the road.

Message: Not sure how to test your O2 sensors...there's a way to without just going out and buying new ones though. Run a search for it and see if you can find some info...either on google or search this site. Free non-member search: http://mark.dodgedakotas.com

Message: Last night I filled up and found that I had only gotten 16.1 mpg but the previous fill only netted me 14.5 mpg. This is all down from the 18 mpg that I typically get during the summer. I addition to the colder weather and different blends of gas (more or less alcohol) I went to smaller snow tires.
While you may personally be experiencing other problems this question of reduce mpg frequently comes up during the winter.

Message: "i used to get around 280-300 miles per fillup but now lately im lucky to get 230 miles." You CAN'T measure gas mileage that way. You have to fill up, drive a couple hundred or more miles, fill up again and divide the miles driven by the number of gallons it took to fill it. Don't judge by where the gas gauge is, it's not accurate enough to figure out gas mileage.
Sounds like winter's effect on mileage. Mine drops about 5%.

Message: also remember that if you put on different sized tires that it will affect your speedometer and you may be getting less mileage because of that.
