 Subject: 4x4 Dash Light

Hi all. The 4x4 indicator light is not working on the dash of my 2000 Dakota. Is this a difficult/expensive fix? All of the other indicator lights seem to work fine, and the 4x4 is working -just the light is not showing it.

Mine did/is doing the same thing...there is a switch on top of the transfer case that is switched when in 4x4. Try replacing that. I replaced mine and it did not fix it, so I'm guessing a bulb is burnt out...but there has been debate as to whether it is a bulb or part of the dash lights.

Wow thats strange, just recently I noticed the same thing on my 00 Dak. I still have an extented warrantee but Im hesitant to bring it in if its a simple fix. anyone know??
