Message: Hi i have a 93 3.9l 2wd dakota with 105k. Today i noticed my coolant level was below normal, i then noticed some white stuff on my eshaust heads on the drivers side, took the spark plug out there and found some coolant. Is this a blown head gasket? if so why is my truck not throwing white smoke?? how much do u guys think it would be to replace a headgasket??

Message: It's not hard to do with the right tools and mechanical experience, it's just time consuming. I don't know about the 3.9 but my 5.2 is probably similar and I have done it. I'd replace both while I was at it.

You DIDN"T ANSWER THAT VERY UNDERSTANDABLY
Where was he white stuff exactly and where exactly was the coolant? Was/is the truck missing? I'm guessing you seen the coolant on the engine rather then in it. Is there coolant any other place on the engine or eleswhere? Let the truck warm up and keep running while you open the hood to inspect closely. It may just be a pin hole in a hose squarting it at that plug. Answer these questions and any information you may discover

Message: As well as what OBIO3 said, first I'd make sure you're not getting coolant in the oil. If you're missing it, it's gotta go somewhere, best to rule the crankcase out first. Check your oil, if it's milky, don't run it anymore.

Message: Try light colored chocolate milk. Easy to see it isn't the normal oil you see on your dip stick. It has a whipped foamy type look. By watery oil I think your meaning the hot oil that seems thin.
