Message: My brake light and ABS light are on. The emergency brake disengages properly. I checked the fluid level and it is fine. What could be wrong? How much to fix?

Message: You need to change the ABS Sensor in the rear differential. I think I paid about $50 for the sensor and it took me maybe 5 minutes to change.

Message: Try disconnecting the neagive lead on the battery before you go spending $$$ on parts. Worked for me. The Service Manual (92-96) states as the 1st step in troubleshooting, to disconnect the negative lead for 1 minute then reconnect.
Kinda like when I turn on my satellite for the TV and it can't find a signal. The Company says to unplug the system's pwr, allow any stored pwr to disipate then start it back up.
And yes, there have also been posts on here that state the replacement of the ABS Sensor fixed their problem. I just like to keep my money when I can.
Good luck!

Message: Yeah, chances are good the light will come back on after you disconnect the battery...if it does, it's the rear speed sensor, not the ABS sensor. Same location (on top the rear diff.)...just got the name confused...
