I saw $1.95 at two different stations today in East Tennessee. The news said crude oil is at its lowest price since May 2005 (pre-Katrina).

Yep...us canucks take it hard up the backside when it comes to gas (not as bad as europe though). It's mostly taxes though!! I guess we have to pay for our healthcare system somehow eh?

The average car in Germany probably gets better than 30mpg so that is like a Dakota owner paying three bucks a gallon.

Just what type of Job do you have Mikez?? YOu must be making around $90K a year just to keep your truck.
No, most of there cars in Germany gets over 45 MPG including the Smart cars.
Also I've seen where in Britian people are buying Dodge 1/2 ton trucks for around 28,000 pounds. Thats around 50 grand!!

Europe is a strange place.Everything here is much more expensive than in states.Yesterday saw Grand Cherokee SRT 8 ,by the dealer.Price is 115000 grands.In States 43000.....

115 grands for the SRT-8 Grand Cherokee - that's ridiculous! Here in Switzerland the official DC price is CHF 95'900 about USD 78'400. Expensive but cheep compared to the price of comparable power SUVs.

If I will decide to buy this car in States and will pay all import taxes,it will still cost me 65000 at the door.Even at 115000 ,Cherokee is 65000 cheaper than Porsche Cayenne Turbo and 35000 than BMW X5
