I have a 2000 Dakota (an RT quad cab). Recently I noticed the sound of sloshing water inside the cab while driving. When I lifted up the floormat on the passenger side, the carpet was soaked. I pulled out trim, lifted the carpet and found quite a bit of water in front and in the back passenger side. At first I thought the door seal was leaking. Later, I found this not to be the case. The leak was coming from the sidewall directly across from where the passenger's right foot would be. There is a small machined hole right at the base of the A-pillar (forward of the dooor hinge) that water was flowing out of. Evidently, there must be some type of drain plugged somewhere and the water is backing up and coming out the machined hole. I checked the drivers side, and this hole at the base of the A-pillar / sidewall is not there. Anyone else ever have a problem like this before? I'd hate to think of how much water would get in if the vehicle was left outside unattended for a long period. What I found was bad enough.

get 2 quarts of amsoil
aply a liberal coat to the area where the leak is suspected let set for 5 minutes
then rub it in and buff

if this doesnt work drink the remaining oil
your truck might still leak but youll live to be 150

I have no idea what it is for. There is no antenna cable or anything else coming out of it. I'll try to clean out the area you mentioned. What you are saying sounds like the problem from what I have seen. Thanks a bunch for the tip.
