Subject: 360 woes...... IP: Logged
Message: So I have a 91 dakota thats tubbed and set up for a 360 which I purchased from a friend of a friend. After installing it, I came to find out that it had rod knock or piston slap :(.
I figure this time I am going to find a new 360 short block assembly that I can buy so I wont run into that problem again. Only one problem.... I dont know where to get one or what a decent price for one would be.
If you have any recomendations at all it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Robert

Message: Hmmmm, yeah that does look like a great deal. Is that a magnum short block though? I was told that is what I will need.
Thanks!

Message: No, it's the LA. They do offer a complete long block Magnum 5.9, but you're looking at $1900+ a refundable $149 core fee. Figured since you had a '91, maybe you were set up for the conventional up front ear mounts.
