Yeah I do every once in a while. I started going out there about 6 years ago. But now it seems like all it that is out there is a bunch of drunk a$$ kids that think they are the $hit! Are you going out there this weekend? If so, I might meet up with you and whoever else wants to join us!

No it is not an organized car show, it is actually street racing!! But I would like to meet a few of you off of this forum and check out your trucks. We can meet at Shell at Rankin@I-45 N on Saturday night around 9:30-10:00pm. Hang out there for a little while and bull$hit about our trucks. Mine is a Green 98 Sport V6 RC with no decals and 15X7 stock wheels!! Let me know if ya'll are interested.

Hi all, Iam used to go to Rankin Rd. back in 1979-82 when I was just out of High School. The 1/4 mile strip used to be behind an old Armour Meat packing plant. I know that about 10 years ago I went out there and found out that it is not the same, it used to have only one entrance, but now another entrance is at the end of the strip before the quarter mile is up. Dangerous, also if it is the same as I remember the Cops frequent it on a regular basis especially during Fri. & Sat. nights.

Yea, they still race there but I don't. Good way to get killed. Just like to watch. Any who, see you at the shell. I have a 01' blue. Buddy of mine has a 91 red.

I live here in The Woodlands (north of Houston) and we have a little car show every Saturday night across from The Woodlands Mall in the parking lot by Pier One. Maybe we should get a group of Dakotas out there, it is a lot safer then Rankin. If not I might venture out to Rankin if others go just to see some rides.

R/Truck I know exactly where you are talking about! I have been there a few times. I would actually prefer to go to the woodlands car show, because it is an older crowd and you don't have to worry about drunk kids. Guys let me know if you would like to switch spots.
