my manual doesn't say that synthetics are recomended or required in my new truck. Will I waste my money if I buy synthetics? I read the buzzboys qoute and it seems logical.

Well, if you have the 4.7, which I've seen many complain about sludge showing at the oil fill neck due to design (stays cool); all I can say is I've never seen that on mine and I run synthetic. Your choice; I choose synthetic.

my mileage went up almost a full 2 mpg when i switched to mobile 1. speaks for itself in my opinion.

i said it too early last year
on average a 2mpg gain when i switched to mobil one
no one either cared or listened
i think by the second tank full i starting noticing a diferance in milage
