There is no difference between Castrol, Mobil, Valvoline, Pennzoil or SuperTech. If the product is an API SM/GF-4 rated Motor Oil its the same.
never use use non-API certified oils such as amsoil. Voids your warrranty
I have been in the Lubricants industry for 12 years.

All vehicle manufacturers in the U.S. have agreed that a warranty cannot be denied because a customer was using any particular brand of oil that meets specifications, unless an engine failure was directly attributable to the fluid. If it is not a fluid related failure, they cannot void the warranty. The law supports this position.
And to the Amsoil flamer, Amsoil meets and exceeds D/C specs.
Plus, the dealer/manufacturer has no way of telling what fluid you are using. How do I know? I am a former Ford mechanic. I have been using Amsoil for many years, in many different vehicles. No problems. I too was sceptical in the beginning. But now I am a believer.

Wrong!
when the manufacturer states
you must use a API certified oil
and you don't!
they DO NOT and WILL NOT pay the warranty claim!
and if the oil maker (such as amsoil)
tells you its better then API approved
(but yet funny they tried and failed API testing)
then you will be sent to them (amsoil) for the dollars to fix the truck or car!
this is all pretty simple to understand
you need a few days to figure this all out ???????

with the exception of the Royal Purple oil
(mileage went up .5mpg and overall engine operation was much smoother and more responsive)
