That H2 video was a bunch of lopsided BULL SHEEEET!

Note that they show the Jeep scrape it's HITCH on the "V" obstacle. Yet they don't show a close up of the H2 to know if it has a Hitch down low like that!

And. On the dirt HUMP obstacle. The H2 goes over it holding the gas steady.

Then when each of the other offroad vehicles do it. Their is mysteriously already deep ruts they are now driving in, so the clearance is lower now. AND while the H2 did it steady on the gas. Each of the drivers in the Jeep and other vehicles convieniently let off the gas and hits the gas as they turn the wheels looking like it easily got stuck.

Stupid biased video.

I prefer to watch the H2 on the real trails busting it's front suspension components :)

Amen to that!!!

After all that video we seen form YouTube shows the exact protentral of the Surburban based H2..

Funny when watching Trucks on Spike (was known as TNN) they never could get the Jeep G.C stuck.

That H3 Hummer in that other video creaked just like the H2 one did in that "EERRRRR" thread!

That other video where the H2 lifts the front left tire way up when climbing the rocks was kinda cool to watch actually.
But not like anything else could not do that. My Dak has seen way worse than that stuff. And before I ever had LSD in the rear! I had to hold te BRAKES and the gas at the same time when the wheels lifted! Now with my air bags I can't do that stuff or the air bags will tear out. Some day I will add some straps.

You can also note in that other H3 video, that they put dozens of tree branches in that mud crossing so they had something to stay up on.

On that HUMMERS and JEEPS video, I noticed no one is standing around guiding the JEEP guys up the rocks, they are just watching. Except that one Jeep with the tiny street tires on it! But several people are guiding the H2 guys.

I would like to have one of those small Jeeps.
I think it would be a lot easier to get unstuck than larger vehicles. An H2 would need something really big to pull him out if he got stuck.

When we got a Ram 2500 stuck a few yrs ago, we had tried with several vehicles until an old Suburban came along with some huge tires and some weight, to get the 2500 out!

Check out this video of mine from a few years ago.
http://www.paysonarizona.net/Home%20Videos/4X4_romp_mud_hole_baby_doll_aftermath_short_080904.mpg

I had the wife and my friends with me. We went on Doll Baby rd which was like 20 miles out from Payson/ I got STUCK out in the middle of nowhere. Forgot the shovel. Had to use a tree branch to dig a bit. But then just ran the truck back and forth and got out. No video of that, but the video is of AFTER I got out and we are looking at it.

Just a reminder of why you should NEVER EVER go out like that without another vehile or two! We could have been stuck for a very long time!

The video is kinda fuzzy but it appears that all the competitors had wimpy street tires. I guess they needed to put something out to counter that video that's out there where the front tie-rod snaps on a little rock.

@ GraphiteDak

you say getting stuck in the middle of nowhere is a pain?? It still beats running out of gas and having to wait for a train to pass after walking about a mile just to get to the MF-ing gas station!!

the way i see it is that there is a big difference between all the vehicles. They are all underclassed in two areas. One tires and two height. You throw some damn swampers on any one of those vehicles and a 3-5 inch lift and bamb course complete. Dumb video, wasted like 3 minutes of my life.

Joe, at least you only were a mile out.
That place we got stuck was 15+ miles out! On a trail that is only traveled once in a blue moon.

In fact. We IGNORED a warning sign to turn around due to the nasty area. It's normally a lot of SAND there which is bad enough. But the creek crossing floods it with mud every now and then.

Lucky my truck didn't sink to the doors like I have at other places.

I remember puchaseing about $3.50 (1.5 gallons)of gas at the nearest Exxon. I had to travel about 10 miles around untill I got on the main HWY that would take me to Wal-Mart so I could reload my card. Before I started off I reset my trip meter (with 1 gallon fuel container near the back of the cab) and so I took off to see just how far it would go untill it would sputter. 27 miles latter I made it to the supercenter with no problem what so ever;Reloaded my card, and now I'm off to the pumps just shy of the black wal-mart parking lot.

But just before I crossed over to the pump section there was a lot of sputter! But I just drove on and filled it with another 6.2 gallons while it was still engine was now running off fumes.

After doing some basic math, I sqeezed out 18 MPG. Not bad for with a dirty K&N filter.

15miles out is nothing! try being stuck in a canyon with to 11,000 feet high mountains on each side. with only one spare tire left and still 30 miles of extremely tuff terrain to go before making it to the road. running out of food and water and you were supposed to be home hours ago. we where 50miles away from anything stuck in the Panamint mounts. All i can say is that jeeps are easily the toughest off-road vehicles. i had to run the jeep at 4000-5000rpm in 4wd low just to make it a 1/4 of the way out of this canyon. and when we got to the top the skid plates i put on before we left were distroyed and we slash another tire. put on the last spare and headed the rest of the way out which took 3 hours before we made it back on the road and head the 300 miles back home. i dont think an H2 would have made it out of that canyon with out breaking something.

that was just one of our camping trips. the last camping trip we were nearly snowed in at 11,000 feet. it had snowed a foot in an hour.

I got stuck in a cotton field about 2 months ago in Casa Grande. I was in a Ford Ranger. I got about 3 rows into the field, and then spent an hour digging it out with rocks and stuff. GO FORD!

I spent the night in the woods one night about 30 miles away from home waiting for my friend to put a starter on his ramcharger the next morning so he could come and pull me and another friend out. Other friend has a cherokee sitting on 36in swampers with front and rear gears and lockers. I was in my 92 kota 4x4 3.9 5sp stock height with 30x9.50s on it and rear locker and the front end was lincoln locked.

Several hours later the next morning, one cherokee front axle shaft, one cherokee rear drive shaft, one dakota hitch, two snatch straps, one come-a-long, and two tow chains later we were on our way back through it the other way.

Blew out the front welded spider gears the next weekend in nearly the same spot. At least same trail just a different set of ruts, was trying to go around where i had gotten stuck before.
