I have been wondering now for quite a while what is the differences in the performance of a reg. trans am vs. the ws6. vs. the firehawk vs. the formula vs. any other versions that i am missin as well?

missed the TTA with the drivetrain from a Buick GN. turbo'ed 3.8 v6. out the box mid 13's. there was also a turbo'ed 301v8 but not near as fast.

I just want to know besides the bodys of the cars what makes them performance wise in general different from eachother?

TA has the high performance motor, rear end gearing, handling package, badging, guage cluster, body kit, spoiler, air dam, racing stipes. then all the bells and whistles dwindle away as you go from TA to formula to firehawk to plain jane v6 firebird. one thing they (same model year) all have in common is the stamped out fenders and body.
all the big three car makers use the same manufacturing/sales strategy.
