HI i am looking to buy a dodge dakota i have one in mind its a 1999 Dakota 4x4 ext cab solar yellow it has the V8 with 23,000 miless and thre asking $13,800 , was wondering how much you like your trucks and if this is a good price for this truck? I also want to know if all the 1999 dakota's have a digital compus like all new truck do with the temp and milages and so forth. thanks for your replies!!!!

I'm not sure but I think that a truck like you have in mind would sell for more that $13,800. It maybe closer to $16000 +.

Sounds like a good deal to me... I paid $16,000 for mine about 4 months ago... '99 4x4 CC 5.2L V8 with 34,000 miles.

The Digital Compass, outside Temperature and fuel economy gauging is all part of a higher level trim option package. Either the Sport Plus and the SLT Plus groups. Either of these are usually pretty well fully equipted and will be at the higher end of the price range. This is one of the few options I don't have on either truck nor did I want it.
Whether the price is fair depends on how the truck is equipted and condition. Check out Edmunds and Kelly Blue to get an idea of what the ballpark might be. It woulf help to find out what options the truck has. If the owner is like me, he kept the window sticker. (I know, must be a sickness)
