Check your transmission fluid level lately?

Message: Fluid level (ATF4) seems to be right on the mark. Is there anything else to trip that error code. And what can be done to repair it. Thank you.

Message: Well, Jay. It would be ever so nice if we knew what year and which engine and transmission you have. Otherwise we're just guessing.

Message: Thanks for replying Mark2. I have a 1999 42re behind a V6. Using ATF4, changed every 35000 miles by the dealership. Any help you can give me would be deeply appreciated. Thanks for your response.

Message: Took my truck to the dealer. They said they found a Gonernor Pressure Sensor going bad causing the P 1764 error code. They replaced the sensor, trans fluid (ATF4), and filter. A bit expensive, $460 all together. But it seems to be fine now and will hopfully go many miles more. Thanks for all the help I got.
