Message: So it's about time for me to pick up a new set of tires for my QC dakota. I'm set on getting another set of Michelin LTX/MS tires in 265/70/16. I see that discount tire here sells them for $144 each. I'm considering ordering a set and having a local shop install them if the price is considerably less than I can get it all done at a local shop. Does anyone know of any sites for me to check out that has great prices and service?

Message: Dan,
I'm in he same boat, have a set of Michelin LTX/MS that I put on my 03QC 50K ago and they are ready for replacing. I got them at Sams Club last time around because the tires were $10-15 cheaper than other tirs shops with $10 mount/lifetime balance/road hazard, about $100 cheaper for 4 tires. I had real good luck with the service at Sams and went there because Discount tried to bone me the last couple of times I went in there. Same service from Goodyear and BigO so I'm sticking with Sams Club. If your in a small town Sams might not be the right thing to do and I'd get the tries and service from the same shop, your going to pay more, but they "should" take care of you if problems arise.

Message: Thanks for the input, I had not thought about sam's, costco, or bj's.
I did check tirerack, they are $145. I was surprised to see them cheaper locally.
