Message: Does anyone know where I can get an aluminum or stainless steel thermostat housing to replace this POS plastic one on my truck. It's a 2003 CC with the 4.7 V-8. Thanks,
John

Plastic doesn't always = POS. Take a look at your radiator.

Message: Yes, mine started to leak from the inside face. Replaced the seal, no luck, then tried several times to make a gasket to cover the face. The problem is that it splays out in the center and will not seal. Don't really want to replace it with another plastic one. I may try to build one from a billet of aluminum if I can't find one. Would one from an earlier 3.7 work or were they all made from plastic? Seems like just another el cheapo from Chrysler.

Message: That kind of plastic does not corrode, so nobody makes a metal one.
Take yours to a machine shop and pay them to make one out of brass or aluminum or cast iron or titanium or depleted uranium or tungsten.
Or maybe just carve one out of wood.
