I just replaced the front rotors and brakes on my '97 2wd RC v6 Dakota. Now it makes a grinding noise, like the brakes are bad. I thought that maybe the brakes need to wear down a little bit to adjust to the new rotor. But it has not stopped yet.

New brakes shouldn't make a grinding noise before wearing in. Sounds like time to recheck your work - damage to one of the rotors may help locate the problem. Might be a caliper that wasn't fully bolted down, pad not seeated properly, or as simple as a pebble caught in between surfaces.
