Message: it's a 5spd manual so there is no comp control. it may not last too long behind a healthy 340 though.

I'd look into a T56 six speed. That's the same 6 speed transmission in the Corvette and F-bodies.

Message: Yeah, that's right about the Viper using it, I forgot about that. The SRT-10 RAM might also use it then.
I know the old LT-1 Corvettes used it, and I think the newer C5 and C6 Corvettes that use the rear transaxle, use a derivative of it or something.
The LT-1 and LS-1 F-bodies used it all the way up until they were cancelled. The LS1/LS2 GTO's likely used it too.

Message: LOL a NV3500 is what I have for MY '74 Duster.
If it can run behind a Turbo 4.7 in a truck, I figure it will last behind a turbo 4.7 in my Duster.
I just wont shift it to agressively as I have heard that's a way to kill them if anything. Some fork in it bending. Not that it would be a difficult fix if that happens.

Message: Try a NV 4500 if possible. I think the 340 cid made more toruqe than the 245HP 360cid from 98-02
