Has anyone tried Superlifts "Tru Speed" speedometer calibration. I claims to fix odometer, speedometer, ABS braking, shift points, and other computer functions. Claims to work only on electronic speedometers too, right?. I think Daks got ele. speedometers in 1990,( same year as my truck). Any feed back is apperciated! Thanks
Joe.

I installed one a couple of months ago and it works great. I have 33" BFGs and using a buddy's GPS I found that 60mph on my speedo was really 71 (which, by the way, is more than just the tires can account for). The thing is kinda pricey for what it is, but it works as advertised. Just passed one of those standing radar speed signs on the way into work and 65 still shows as 65. The connections are a snap – splice it into one wire on the top of the ABS controller, tap a fuse in the panel and a ground. I mounted it up under the dash on that nice big, flat aluminum brace supporting the steering column.

Thanks 4X4Tony, I am looking seriously into getting TruSpeed. My main problem is this: I do not tryst my gas gauge. I use to run it by the milage but now that is all screwed up. Also, my breaking has been terrible since the lifts and 31's. I am looking into upgrading them. And my shift points are fouled up. Espically when I am on open road. The truck seems to down shift everytime I speed up. Its like I am right on the verge of excessive reving. If you have any comments on this please respond. Thanks
Joe E.

You have 31's?

Your dealer can reprogram the truck's SBEC (PCM) to work with those - 31" is the largest size that comes from the factory, so the SBDC already has a setting for them. They shouldn't charge you more than the minimum 1 hour of labor to load that change.

Tony4X4, are you telling me that I should be able to go to the local Dodge Dealer and have them reprogram my SBEC to work with my 31's? Now my Dak is a 1990. Will that effect your advice. And what evactly is a SBEC? Just so I know exactly what I am talking about with the dealer. And Will that help my breaking, shifting, milage reader? Thank you for your help, It sounds like it will ba a big money saver! Please respond Tony.
Thanks, Joe E.
