My dodge dakota's side drivers window is a hand crank. I was wondering if anyone knew how to open up the door panel and see the crank turners. The window can only roll down with excessive force on the crank. The passenger side window can easily be rolled down. I was wondering if anyone knows how to open up the inside door panel to get to the window turners.

dude I've had the same problem for a long time and can't figure it out. A little tip until you fix it, use your right hand to push down on the window while you roll it down, saves the handle from the excessive strain.

You will need to remove the crank itself, probably an allen head screw in the center, or a clip that you would get to by pushing in on the door panel around the crank. You will need to remove the plastic piece behind the door handle, usually just a screw. Once those are off most panels come off by starting at the bottom and prying outward (away from the door) on the panel. The various retaining clips or teets will pop out of their recepticles. Work your way (slowly) up from the bottom. Once you have them all along the bottom and sides, the top edge should liftt off the door with a little upward pressure.
