Subject: A way to hold trans dipstick in place? IP: Logged
Message: Has anyone found a good way to hold the transmission dipstick in place? You push it in, and then it comes back out about an inch. Not good for keeping dirt out. My dad's Ram does the same thing.
Been using electrical tape to hold it in, but not very convienient for a quick check!

Message: I think he's talking about the dipstick, not the tube.
Try rotating it when you put it back.

Message: Bend it some, so there is more contact and resistance between the stick and the tube.

It's twisted to the left, but it's not too long.
