Anyone ever try that RESTORE* cylinder treatment stuff or ever hear
if it actually works? Cause I have a lot of miles on my truck and I
just want anything to keep it going and healthy.

ONLY use that stuff as a last resort and if you plan on replacing the engine anyway.
It's some blend of fine METAL SHAVINGS and goop in a can! Supposed to fill "gaps and scratches".
I tried it once years back on a worn engine. So did a friend. in his worn engine.
At first it brings some compression back up. But then you get a long and painful engine death!

I've used it in the past and it does seem to help bring some of the lost power back. I've never heard of it destroying an engine. If it did then it wouldn't have been on the market as long as it has.

I tried it a few years ago. biught 2 cans and used one. still got the other one in shop. I put it in a dunn buggy That was needing a rebuild or an engine. These buggies were used in the hills, no sand, the engine restore seemed to be working somewhat for roughly 200 miles or so. then the engine went down hill fast. Found another engine and replaced the bad one. point is, It's garbage just like the rest of those additives. If you feel the need, and you really think your engine is worn out badly, the only sujestion I got is heavier oil. Like 10-40 or 20-50. this isn't a fix at all. just might prolong throwing a rod for a short time. In the long haul. The very cheapest thing you can do is fix it right or sell it.
You say it has to be good cause it's still out there. Not so. there will alwas be a market for things that are worthless, not just oil. It's advertising that sells it. Good example are those pellets that come with a can of what resembles motor huney or STP. They was on the market when I was a kid (63 now). They do nothing and there still being sold.

When I got back from the med a decade or so ago, I had a '69 Mustang GT FB waiting for me in storage. The engine had about 130K miles on it, some of them hard. It ran OK when I put it up on blocks 2 years before. But after sitting, it was a real oil burner.
I tried some stuff called Matrix. Kinda expensive, absolutly useless. Didn't do a darn thing.
SO I tried a can of Restore. It cut the oil burning by at least half. maybe more. More power? Don't think so. But it did run better.
A year or two later I rebuilt the engine. Two of the rods were visibly bent. When I removed three of the pistons, the rings just fell off in pieces.
I'd say it's good stuff. Not a miracle, but good.

It just depends on the circumstances.
Some people swear by Trans-X. I had a Mustang C4 tranny slipping slightly on some shifts. Had been doing it for a while.
One day I bought and poured in a can of trans-X. Was driving back home (almost ALL highway) and the tranny got worse within minutes and I barely made it home!!!
I guess you just need to pray before you expect a miracle from some of the additives!!!
