Subject: Outside Temp guage location IP: Logged
Message: Anyone know where the overheard temp guage gets it's reading from? I've installed my own temp guage and I've run the wire under the truck but as you can suspect, the road temp causes erroneous readings.
Thanks

Message: Open your hood and look at the brace directly to the left of the radiator. About half way between the upper brace and the top of the bumper is where it is placed from the factory.

I think it's that little black cylinder hanging out in space just to the passenger side of the radiator. Not sure, but I can't imagine what else that thing might do.

Message: I don't have the factory version, I just went to Radio Shack, they have some cheap versions that have both the inside and outside temps.
