Message: Have any of you tried to put a stero noise Eliminator on their stero? Did it work? did you use one or two (One on the 'always on" lead and one on the switched lead?)
just curious.

Message: If your getting noise,It is probably do to a bad ground. I am asumming your running an amp? If that is the case, try grounding it in a different area , or , if there is any paint, scrape away the paint so you're on the metal.
If that does not work , try running your RCA cables well away from you power cable,as they can pick up electrical noise ,especially on cheaper RCA cables.
Hope this helps you out , good luck...God Bless The U.S.A. !!

Message: Hey.
the static is only on FM, the CD is clear. Could that be a ground problem?

Message: Sounds like you may be picking up something through your antenna cable. Could this be pinched?
Also, you may want to make sure it's plugged in all the way. If neather is the case,I would try the filter. You can pick them up cheap at Raido Shack.
Let me know how it goes! Good luck.

Message: I don't think they have one for a power supply, but they have them for R.C.A cables and one for antaneas.
If it is a whine you are hearing, than its a grounding problem or your power cable is to close to your R.C.A's. If it is static and you tried the above , try getting a boster for your antana.
Are you running an amp?

Message: Nope, No separate amp. The stero has a built in amp giving me 50 Watts per channel.
It is no whine, defintly static. Stations that used to come in clear are very staticy. My moms Factory radio is even clear, but my 600 dollar stero sounds terrible.

Message: Man,now you have me wondering if it may not be internal in the head unit. Are you sure the antana wire is all the way in,and not pinched or rubbing? If it rubbed through the insulation, this may cause what you are describing. If you still have the old raido try plugging that back in and see what happens.
I hope we can figure this out for ya. I'll keep thing on it.

Message: Have you checked for an antenna trim adjustment on your receiver? Alot of aftermarket stereos have an antenna trim adjustment. Check your head and owners manual for your new stereo.
