Message: I was driving back to school tonight when the ABS light came on along with the red break light that comes on when you have the parking break on. What is causing this? I think that the ABS sensor(s) are bad. How can I find out which one(s) are bad? And where are they located? Are they easy to replace? Any help will be greatly appriciated.
Thx

Message: is your speedometer workingly correctly?
if not, chances are its the RWSS (rear wheel speed sensor) located in the center section of the rear diff.
if the speedo is working properly, i'd start checking the brake system(fluid level, pad material, etc.)

Message: your rear wheel speed sensor is whats wrong, its also the rear abs sensor thats why the abs light came on. speedo will still work off the transmission so you will have your speedo but prolly doesnt work below 20 mph does it? had one go out on my truck, i think the sensor is a dealer item only but its cake to change out. like daddio said its on the center section of the rear diff ontop with the brake lines running across it. i think 13 and 15 mm socket and ratchet, and maybe a screwdriver or pair of pliers to get the old sensor out is all you need.

Message: I have a '03 dakota and my ABS light and P. Break light came on a few months ago. So I changed my Rear Wheel Speed Sensor, however it didn't fix my problem. SO after draining the fluid in the rear diff. I found a tooth off of my spyder gears. The senson will also make your ABS and P.Break lights come on if it picks up metal shavings. So if you've been doing any burnouts or ruff driving you might want to check out your diff.
