Subject: Tilt Steering IP: Logged
Message: I just bought a 2006 Dakota V6. This is gonna sound dumb but I'm gonna ask it anyway. The one I bought didn't come with tilt steering. But the steering wheel is so low that I can't even read the speedodometer. Is there anyway to adjust this?!?
Thanks in Advance
E.

Message: Yeah, stop slumping in the seat like a wigger.
Disregard this comment if you're less than 5' tall; just get a copy of NYC yellow pages to sit on...

Message: Actually smart-ass the problem is that I HAVE to slump. I need the wheel HIGHER. And, WTF is a "wigger"?

Message: In a word, No. Didn't you notice this when you test drove the truck?
As I see it you have two choices: 1. Swap in a tilt column. 2. Lower the seat.

Message: Don't sit so close to the steering wheel.
Back up a bit and give the airbag some room.

Message: I agree with Chester. A lot of people, even in my own family were never taught to sit back far enough. I am only 5'8" with more height in my back, less in the legs, but I still sit as far as I safely can from the rib buster (steering wheel).
I see so many people craning forward when they drive that I can feel their back pain.
I safely drive with only the balls of my feet on the pedals, not the whole foot.
I have never found a comfortable GM seat yet either, including Saturn. My butt sinks too low and I feel like I'm go-carting. A hundred miles in a GM would send my to the chiropractor.
DC has good seats.
