Subject: 4.7L plug replacement?

Message:
Help! I cannot believe I am this stupid, but how do I go about replacing plugs on a 4.7? I can see the valve covers and the exhaust manifolds but do not see where the plugs are located.

they located under each individual coil pack. the 4.7 has a coil-over-plug setup. If you can't figure out how to remove the coils you might want to bring it somewhere who has worked on these b/4

Don't feel bad. We are so used to standing on our heads to change the plugs that we are surprised to find them on top of the engine.

The 4.7 has a row of plugs each side of the intake manifold. No hi-tension wires. Two small lines must be loosened and moved on the left ( drivers ) side. A nut retains each coil over each plug. The coils go down deep, and you'll need an extension to reach the plugs.
Loosen all the plugs then blow out the dirt.

I recommend from experience to use Champion copper plugs, but use what you want.
