Well, according to Motor Trend, the Z06 Vette put the viper in it's place. The Vette beat in in zero to 60, zero to 100 and 1/4 mile times. They have one winner, but we'll beat just about any other vehicle they have. Bring on the bowtie and we'll run over it and turn it into a cross tie! lol

the only reason the viper is slower is cuz the vette has bigger gears in the differential. the vette has high threes and the viper has 3.08s

there is a srt-10 ram, the srt charger will smoke any chevy sedan. Dakota RT or 4.7 for that matter will beat an s10 or a colorado. Srt4 will beat cobalt ss. and to top ot off i have rolled over in a trailblazer ...worst handling suv ever

According to Car and Driver, the SRT 8 Jeep whoops the SS trailblazers ass so hard it hurts just thinking about it.
Nice job drawing the SS Trailblazer against a standard model Durango. Thats like bragging that a Z06 Vette can whip a V6 Mustang.
SS Silverado < SRT10 Ram
SS Trailblazer < Jeep SRT 8
SS Cobalt < SRT4 Neon
SS Impalla < SRT8 Charger
Colorado < HO 4.7 Dakota.
A little more fair of a comparison. Doesn't look so shiny for the bowtie anymore does it?????
Maybe GM can beg Izuzu or Acura for better engines, since their own tired old pushrod pieces of crap can't get out of their own way these days.

Direct Injection puts gasoline directly into the cylinder, just like a diesel.
Fuel Injection, as we know it, injects gas into the airstream, as close as possible to the intake valve, so it is mixed with air as it enters the cylinder.

Ok where to start, The SRT Neon and SS Cobalt where dead even in performance and the Caliber replaced the Neon which is slower. SRT Jeep is faster in some test not all it ran a 13.2 once most are mid-high 13 which is what the SS Trailblazer runs but I will say the Jeep beats The SS TB, they DO NOT make the SRT Ram so we can't count it. Since when did GM beg for motors from Isuzu and Acura? What's sad is Dodge only has 2 motors 5.7 and 6.1 Hemi VS GM's LS2,LS3,LS4,LS7 and coming soon the LS8 and LS9 which range from 400hp -700hp have fun. Motor week ran the I5 Colorado at 16.5 and the 4.7 Dakota at a 16.8.

well one fact is this, the colorado was not built to compare with the dakota in towing. it was built as a light duty truck that gets GREAT gas mileage. for the guy that wants a 4x4 pickup, that gets 27mpg on the highway, and doesnt pull anything bigger than a 19ft fiberglass boat, the colorado is perfect.

The Vette is built more towards 1/4 mile. The viper is built more slalom. This is the way it has always been. I personally like the vette better for everyday driving. Have you ever sat in a viper. Its like crawling into one of those go-carts built for 8 year olds. Plus the viper costs like 15 thousand more. Oh yea, shatto the arial atom is one of my favorite cars. 0-60 in under 3 seconds and it can turn like its on rails. I would love to get one but what if you got in an accident. You would literly get driven over.

Hey Jerry they do make a srt ram. Also the srt4 caliber will have 300 hp. Lets see the cobalt match up to that.Also dodge makes a lot more motors than the 5.7 and 6.1.

if you grade schoolers who seem to have little reading content retention had read what I said, I said the Vette may beat the Viper, but bring on any other bowtie and we'll turn that bowtie into a crosstie, if cj even knows what that is. Bonus points if you know where "crosstie walker" comes from. I've had GM 4x4's all my life, and my Dakota R/T is my 1st Dodge and I love it. Had it longer than any other vehicle I've owned. Loved it so much I got a Durango R/T too instead of a GM. So I'm not exactly a GM fan any more.

I wonder how that Colorado was set up that it could beat a 4.7 Dak - haven't seen one that could keep up to mine yet. Throw a bit of cargo in each, the Colorado won't have a prayer. That's what trucks are really made for...

The real Jerry starts with a capital letter, your right the Dakota will tow a lot more than the Colorado 4,000 vs 7,000 but the Colorado is a quick little truck. Funny you should mention the 300hp Caliber because GM is actually is testing a 300+ Ecotec which will end up in the Solstice, Sky, SS Cobalt and so on. I am not trying to talk down about Dodge hell there Hemi's are impressive they just needed them years ago, now Ford is a different story.

let me give you a bigger tip, lyrics go "flatcar riders and crosstie walkers" by the way, they did have hemis a long time ago. The 426 had been available since the 60's with others from the 50's. It just hasn't been put in a later production car because of emissions and because Chrysler figured they were doing well with what they had. Plus the nostalgia card wasn't dealt yet. Now to up sales the makers are turning up that nostalgia card . ford with their Mustang and Gm with the GTO. If Chevy was smart they would come back with a 427 or the 454. But I think all of them are really more into better mileage cars and alternate fuels than big displacement muscle cars anymore which is good. All it will take is a world crisis such as draught or wordld war and oil and imported food will be a thing of the past.

I disagree, I think muscle cars are on a come back (Mustang Camaro Challenger) Chevy does have a 427 it's called the LS7.
