Its a railroad reference as I said earlier, referring to a hobo camp in "Green River". By the way jackass, did you know Creedence also has a longer song TITLED "Crosstie Walker" ? Have a nice day !

the only things the 911 has over the vette is handling(barely), and braking. it does not beat it in anything else(acceleration, top speed, etc).
and as for the vette having high 3's in the rear and the viper having 3.08's, that may be true, but i think the vette is a bit lighter too.

Jerry, why complain about name calling when you pretty much called Kowalski a failure even though he seems to know what he is talking about more than you ? You deserved the blast you got for your way of having a good time. Kowalski seems to just be having fun too; after all he wished you a nice day.

I expected more out of kowalski than some cheap name calling. There is too much of that on thi site. Okay, sue me for not putting "song" down. Most people who know anything about trains probably know what a crosstie is. I figured some CCR fan would catch on and I would know they were in my age group. I notice that people on this site have little tolerance for any kind of mistake, be it mis spelling or not putting down "Song". Geeze Louise! I suppose just because someone drives a Dak or Durango it doesn't make them nice people People who have no tolerance here or courtesy are most likely the same ones who show none on the street. These are the clowns who ride your back bumper even when you are going 5mph above the speed limit. Flash their lights at you if you pull out of a driveway when they are 1/2 block away because they are doing 60 in a 25 mph zone and you are slowing them down. there are too many websites with chat rooms and forums where people will welcome you and not call you names and in which I could hang out. vette is cool but doesn't interest me like the Porsche or the Viper.
to me the viper and Porsche are at the top of the list for performance. Porsche is using a flat 3.6L 6cyl with twin turbos and more new performance technology than any other. making a 6cyl pump out 450+hp.
viper's only computer control aid to help the driver is ABS. dodge uses pure cubes 505ci to get its power. the viper has so much more left in the motor with only 9.6 compression ratio where the vette is using 11.0 compression ratio. no traction control like all others use, but the Ford GT 40.
beside the viper coupe out handles the almighty Z06 corvette.
they always use a convertible viper and it still handles as good as the coupe vette that GM brags about.

one problem is that there are 2 jerry's here and it was hard to figure out who was responding to who. However it wasn't me who was calling anyone a name except with generalizations to some unknown person. now if Kolowski grabbed one of these names, like clown, out of the air and clamed it was his that's not my doing. Kolowski, I haven't called you any names yet so lighten up. I wouldn't use generalizations, I'd come out and say Kolowski, you're a @#&^(!! you @$%^&*!. But I haven't done that. Can you say the same? Now, can we all get along here?

It's funny that out or one side of their yap Detroit is talkin' about producing cars with better milage, yet out of the other side comes huge SUV's like the Hummer, ( though they have downsized to the H3 lol ) and more and more cars with lots of HP and requiring premium gas. not to mention huge trucks like the Dodge mega cab and that monster pickup by International ( if you wanna call it a pikup - that thing could roll over a Hummer) Only viper I've seen lately is owned by a gas station owner. Hmmm, what's that tell you besides that's he's the only one who can afford the gas he sells lol?

lol. if kolowski is the warm, kind human being I think he is, he will let bygones be bygones. We're all here for fun, relaxation, to shoot the breeze and get information. we all make mistakes and no one is perfect. That being said, who wants to buy one of Ford's special edition 32' highboy roadsters they will be producing in an edition of 100? Price? about 85 big ones.
