Everyone here is allowed to slap me in the face...when i first started posting, i got a super 40 flowmaster and complained it wasnt loud enough....last week i was cleaning under my truck and realized the 2005 dakotas have 2 resonators, not one...so i lopped it off and put a straight pipe where the resonator was and it sounds very good now... its going out the side like a ford lightning right after the muffler...looks and sounds top now... but anyways...that was dumb of me, i thought it was the cat

ps. i made that first post and spelled my name wrong...
anyways nothing wrong with flowmaster... i do agree that my K&N was a mistake though...can't even find a way to get air to it better

I can understand why Chrysler put TWO resonators on their FART CAN SOUNDING V6 cars with the Mitsubitchi engine, but why on a V8 Dakota that has a NICE rumble even stock?????
And to pete, what is wrong with having a Flowmaster? It IS the most unique souding muffler. Pretty much all of the others sound the same. Like a glass pack :p

yah i didnt understand the double resonator thing...i hear the dakotas with the HO engine come with only one... i just remember when i did a test drive it sounded like a v6 with all the exhaust crap suffocating my truck... but she is free now... how do i post some pics and sound clips for you guys? i have them

Well it is different on this forum and takes a few extra lines to post something. Easiest thing would be just to cop and paste the url's as text and let people copy and paste into another browser
