Message: One possibility is the speed sensor in the rear end. Speedometer working ok at all speeds ? Cruise control working ? If "no" to any of these ?'s, its the speed sensor.
Lead, follow, or get out of the way

Message: Possible -need brake job -front or rear
=sounds like system out of balance.
And be sure to check for any leakage -even small leak in a cylinder will do this..

Message: Just replaced my speed sensor to take care of the same problem. Took about 10 minutes. Standard part number ALS203 is the part you need. Cost about 27 bucks on line. My ABS and brake light was staying on and my speedo didn't work until I hit about 30 MPH. The sensor is at the top of the transaxle. 13mm socket removes the top nut holding the rear brake lines on and a 15mm will remove the stud they were attached to. Then the sensor just pulls out. My Dak is a 1999 2 wheel drive but I'd bet the sensor is the same.
