Subject: Computer Learning and Auto Start... IP: Logged
Message: Has anyone had any problem with their Dak computers learning the new settings for Air Intakes and less restrictive exhausts?
The problem is this... ever since I put my new exhaust on my Dak (and later added a 360 intake) I get a "Check Engine" light error whenever I use my alarm's "auto-start" feature...
I had the alarm on the truck way before I added the exhaust and intake...with no problems, but now that I have those items, I constantly get a "Check Engine" light whenever I use the auto start.
Has anyone else ever experienced this? I'm tempted not to use the auto start for the next 200 + miles to try to get the computer to accept the changes made from the intake and exhaust. Am I wasting my time trying this?
BTW, the truck has been to the dealer 3 times for this problem, and I still ain't confident that it is fixed...
