"Bob Lincoln,

In the "Hannity & Colmes" world, everything is open to debate. Facts are not open to debate.

You are right only in that if you change conventional oil often enough to keep it new, like 3,000 miles, or less, the MPG and engine wear might, maybe be like Synthetic oil.

So, explain, please, how changing conventional oil five times over 15,000 miles is cheaper than"changing synthetic once? "

Ah, I NEVER said it was - because I change any oil every 3K miles, syn or dino. I don't believe in leaving a filter on for 15K miles with debris in it. I was not using synthetic to extend mileage intervals, but to reduce engine wear and noise, and gain easier starting in winter.

Changing oil at 3k miles is a waste of time, money, and oil.

How old are you Bob?

Even my grandfather lives in the 21st century.

Changing oil every 3k miles is so 20th century.

Do you change your underwear every time you fart?
