 Subject: heat core leaking coolant

my heat core started leaking coolant on the drive home from school today was leaking profusely by the time i had got home. a little leaked into the cab of the truck and the rest pured out from the fire wall.
im waiting for it to cool outside before i pull the heater core.
any suggestions on what it might be?

That's a pretty big job! WHole dash has to come out. Had to do mine last winter. THe factory core is tiny. I put in an aftermarket one that's a little larger.
