If I remember correctly from reading my owner's manual, on my 04 Quad Cab 4.7 they recommend new fluids for the diffs, transfer case, and transmission in addition to the standard oil change at right around the 60,000 mile mark with the lighter-duty 6000 mile interval service schedule. I got the diffs done when I drove through a flood through a year ago and will probably have the tranny flushed at 50K along with the transfer case. I hear the tranny flush is actually pretty cheap.

I did my 99 4x4 cc at 30,000. Went full syn front to back. Best thing I ever did.Amsoil in all running gears and Molil 1 in the engine. It went from 16 MPG to 18.3. Love that amsoil.

So many problems .... So little time

to give you an idea...at my shop, we charge $120 for an auto trans flush, and $30 each per manual trans, transfer case, and diff. and yes, 60k miles is one of the recomended intervals for flushing them. also, you'll probably want to flush your coolant/antifreeze, which we charge $80 for. probably, you're not from grand rapids, mi, but if you are, that's at keller ford on alpine.

Get a flush and make sure that they change both filters if your tranny has them. My tranny took about 22 quarts to do the flush and transfer case.
