Good that he caught the problem.
Good he only drove with it a short time.
He survived a near disaster, that's all.
The excess internal wear and internal tear
may show up later when he begins to burn
oil because of the excess cylinder and piston
wear and and then a loss of engine performance.

i read up about the law suits after i installed the slick 50, but i have friends that have used it with success, and the motor feels better since i switch over to this oil.
I caught the problem, i always check his oil when he comes over just for that reason.
his dad never changed the oil in it and used it for his landscaping business. its got a 140k miles of pure abuse. and the truck still will chirp the tires going into 4th gear. 5 speed
