 Subject: rebuild old 727 torqueflite

Im rebuilding a 727 torqueflite transmission for my Senior Project. The trans has a manual value body and its only problem was the reverse went out. the trans was sitting for years so it will need a freshening. i was going to buy a rebuild kit for around $300.
what i need is a step by step book to help me rebuild this trans. I was wondering if you know of a great book for this and and Good rebuild kit to buy thats under $400
it will probably go behind a 440ci

Check that book out if you want to. My dad has a similiar book, but I can't find it in the garage. We're fixing up his 72 Cuda, and so we'll be fixing up the 727 also. I'll ask him tonight when he wakes up what he's planning on doing for a rebuild kit and I'll let ya know if you still want to know.

i tried to buy that book yesterday at Barnes & Noble. i read the one review they had on the book at Amazon.com, and it said there isnt a step by step in that book. Let me know what the other book title is that your dad has in his garage.
let me know about the rebuild kit you are going to use.
