Message: I am looking at a 98' Dakota CC, SLT, 5spd with 34K miles that is in pretty good shape. Can I expect another 150K miles out of it with approximatly 70% highway driving? What kind of maintenance issues can I look forward to. I really want something for the long haul.....

Message: I bought my '96 V6 5 spd with 25,000 km(yah, Canadian)on it. It's got @ 150,000 km now, and it's always been a reliable machine. I recently replaced the water pump, but otherwise it's only been regular oil changes and tune-ups. It gets @ 18 mpg(converted for you) and it never lets me down. I imagine a '98 would be even better than mine...

Message: Mt uncle has 500,000 KM on his 91 needs a tune up but still tows the boat. My sister inlaw has over 250,000 km on her 94 with no problems. Driving highways does little to no damage to the engine if the proper maintenance is done. so you shouldn't have any problems.
just incase 1 mile = 1.6 km
