HVAC system will not change from floor to vent to defrost. Air blows from all openings, regardless of dial setting. Any ideas. Thanks

Depends on year
Lately, it's all done with vacuum.
Line taps off brake booster to a small reservoir under the cowl by the right side wiper mechanism.
Same line also feeds cruise control, so if your cruise control doesn't work right, that's a further indicator of possible vacuum leak.
