Ok, new to Dakotas, not from Dodge or Jeeps as I have had a few! I love the look of the early to mid 90's Dakota Club cabs.... anything to look for, stay away from?? Am looking for 2wd and NO MarkIII stuff..... besides that?? Am in the process of sellin' a 98 Dodge Ram 4wd and I know am not looking for a V8 this time around.... suggestions??comments??

I have a 96 Dodge Dakota, 3.9l,AC,automatic trans. 116K miles,CD player,good shape overall. I live in Michigan so it has very little rust. If interested let me know. I can send you some pics. Truck is Silver gray in color.

those will be higher milage vehicles, make sure you do do the usual maintenance. fluid changes (oil, diff, trans, etc. Also timing chain.
I traded in my 95 SLT CC 4x4 3.9L auto in Jan and it had 168k and was still getting 17-18mpg combined. I now have an 02 QC 4.7L SLT 4x4.
Check the usual places , auto trader, cars.com, etc. You can find a good deal on one in that age range.

Smart choise looking for a older unit! I had a
90 4x2 3.9 Auto.. Bought it new also... I never
had any tranny or engine problems. The computers
in them then didn't control the tranny yet.
I think you'll find a good used one.. Most I have
seen don't seem to be rotting away like the GM's
and Fords are..

Hey did you find yer older Dak yet??
I have a 92 with a 2.5ltr/MTX. I love the truck and it's been good to me, but I need a diesel (sp?) to do the heavier hauling/wrecking that I am getting into. Where are you located? Drop me a line at lucky_in_cambridge@yahoo.com for some pics or info.
