Subject: AC stuck on defrost??? IP: Logged
Message: Ok, dumb question, but where under/in the dash is the part that controls air flow for the AC/heater system?
My 99 Dakota R/T is blowing all the cold AC air out of my defrost vents on top of the dash. Pretty sure it's not the switch on the dash since it still feels firm/not mushy. Plus the day before it had done the same thing and then started blowing air "correctly" out of the AC vents.
HELP! The Texas heat is killing me!

Message: Default is defrost.
Trace your vaccuum lines from the brake booster. On my 3.9 there is a tiny line that I occassionally knock off when changing distributor cap and rotor.
Sometimes, for some wierd reason, just releasing the vaccuum by un-plugging the line fixes it.
