Subject: Shift linkage adjust IP: Logged
Message: 94 4x4 318, auto,
I am trying to adjust the shift linkage and after I loosen the bolt, the rod is frozern in the block, I have soaked it a couple times but it will not budge.
any suggestions without breaking the actual linkage?
Thanks.

Message: get some heat on it, and get it out while it's hot. oxy/acetalyn is best but you could probably get it with a propane torch.

Message: Thanks,
I took the whole thing out, heated it, and got it to finally move. Starts great now.
