Message: I need to replace one of my factory for lamps (drivers side) due to a crack that has allowed water to get into the housing. After seeing the prices for OEM and OEM "like" after market lights I am beginning to wonder if replacing the whole assembly isnt a better way to go.
Has anyone done a complete OEM replacement on for lamps without substancial fabrication or alterations (possably useing the factory hangers)?

Message: For what the dealership could charge you for a set of their fog lamps you could get much better really high end PIAAs, or for much less you can get aftermarket stuff that's just as good. I got my Cyberwhite Navigators by pilot from Pep Boys for 50 bucks. Fit into the stock housings with one extra hole drilled in each bracket and spliced right into the factory wiring. They look very clean on my Atlantic Blue Quad with their Blue lenses. No problems so far and much better output than stock.
Their only shortcoming is they're 3.5 inch. Without the factory housing with adjustment screw filling up the edges of the hole, they don't quite fit right. PILOT makes a pair of aftermarket fogs that are supposed to bolt right into the stock openings with little or no modification.
