Subject: Finished my new exhaust. IP: Logged
Message: Well today I finished up my exhaust. Ripped out the old exhaust at like 2AM last night. This morning I welded up the new one. I still need to clean up the weld a bit and get a hanger and a screw to secure it the frame. I was using some sh*tty off brand stick welder. Here are some pics of old and new
As you can see that old crush bent exhaust was killing me. Plus that cat..who needs that? Over all impression...impressed. Top end deffinatly improved. And the sound?? Awsome. Since its dumped out the side it doesnt drone one bit. Once up to cruising speed all I hear is the blower.
Its whats under the hood that counts........

Message: does the drivers seat get any hotter? You may want to consider a heat shield over that pipe.

Message: Um, this is U.S. spec truck, Not asian. Lol, The pipe exits on the passenger side. It doesnt get any hotter than normal. There is like 6-8 between the pipe and the floor.

Message: I know the welding doesnt look the best in that pic. I was using a big ass electrode. That was basically my test pipe pic. I still had yet to clean off the flux and what not. Now the welds are ground down and sprayed with some hi-temp flat black. If you watch that other vid you will see.
The fumes go to the side. No smell in the cab.
