Superchips doesn't believe there is enough people interested in the programmer for the '04 and '05/'06 4.7L, so we all have notify them of the contrary.

Even if you don't know if you can afford one right now, contact them so there will be product for you when the time comes when you think you want it and its not too late.

Here is the link: http://www.superchips.com/contact.phtml

Tell them you've been watchin' stuff come out for '06 fullsize trucks and still nothing for the '05 and even '04 4.7 yet? Let them know you're interested so people modifying their trucks will actually see a performance improvement. NGC has really taken over in the '05/'06 trucks. My truck has actual time slips to prove there is no gain from CAI and a true dual exhaust system with an x pipe. NGC dumps enough fuel and pulls enough timing to negate your modifications. Superchips will cancel this crap out and improve your pathetic gas milage as well.
Thanks

'04 and up 4.7L's have the New Generation Controller (NGC), which puts the Transmission Control Unit into and part of the Powertrain Control Unit.
The electronics of the instrument cluster act as a Body Control Unit. That's why if you replace the cluster, the Dodge service guys have to program it with VIN and other stuff.
Also, the CAN communications protocol
http://www.can-cia.org/can/protocol/
is mandated for all vehicles, but I don't remember the year. 2008?
