Subject: electrical problems IP: Logged
Message: i have a 1990 dakota 3.9L i was driving the other day and my truck just shut off, its not getting any fuel, i know its not the pump, but now the i.s.c wont even turn on, i have very little expirence with electronics so if anyone could help me out that would be awesome

Message: i.s.c ? maybe it's the pecocet but what do you mean? could be the notorious #115 splice. Many of us have seen this. It could also be a the relay in the PDC (i had one go bad).
do a search (mark.dodgedakotas.com or site:www.dodgedakotas.com on google) for info.

Message: firs of all whats the #115 spice and how can i fix it. and the isc is the idle speed controller, its on the throttle body on the drivers side, it controlls how fast the motor idles based on engine load, usually only if the tranny in in gear or not

Message: the splice is under the power dist. box on the drivers side fender well. 1 wire spliced to 3 or 4. untape it and check for corrosion.
