Message: James, I was looking for the solution to the grey "texture"
bumper my SLT truck came with and read one of your posts
from 2001. Here it is:
"The lower facsia of my SLT front bumper had that gray "fake
texture" and was easily painted... by the Dodge paint shop,
along with the plastic lower trim pieces of the rear bumper."
Can you do me a huge favor and let me know how much it
cost you to do that, i am very interested in doing this to my
truck....also, could i bring it to any dodge dealership to have this
done?
Thanks so much in advance!!!

Message: yeah but the last two body shops i went to told me that the paint wouldn't stick well cause of the texture. I was just hoping there was a place i could bring it and not have to sand it down. I'm 16 which means i dont have the money, tools, or experience. hehe

Message: you could look at a salvage yard for the fascia and rear bumper from a Dak with the Sport package as the fascia and rear bumpers were painted the same as the body color.
as a matter of fact the SLT should have Chrome bumpers front & rear. SXT had the funky grey textured trim.
