Message: Does any body know of a web site that I can get specs for my truck throuh. It is a 99 cc with a 3.9 and manual transmission. I am looking to find out what type of fluid my tranny and rear diff takes. Also how much of them they take. I plan on changing them both soon. Thanks for any info.

Message: Field trip!
Get thee to yer nearby auto parts emporium and pick up one haynes or chiltons manual.
Alternatively, you could ask on a forum such as this if you know the following: model of transmission (NV3500 4x2 model, for example takes 4.8 pints), and what rear end size you have (8 1/4 takes 4.4 pints and 9 1/4 takes 4.5 pints). Rear end quanitites include 4 oz of Limited Slip additive, if you have a limited slip diff (put the additive in first, then top off with gear oil).

Message: Kevin,
Listen to zzark (name congers images of a band).
Your manual has all that information.
Note; any lubricant that meets or exceeds the manufacturer specifications is fine. However there are quality and performance differances.
Synthetic out-performs conventional.
Synthetics are not created equal, nor do they perform the same.
