i have a 98 regular cab shortbox. by problem is that the seat foam on the drivers seat bottom is crumbling apart and disintegrating. i went to the dealership and they have discontinued them. they suggested to go to an upholstery shop and have a new one made. i was just wondering if any one out there knows of someone who makes or has some. i know a junkyard is one way, but i would prefer new. any help would be great.

I've never had a problem buying car seat foam . Have done this several times over the years to make specialty seats for older Jeeps and boats and such. Any upholstery shop should sell it to you no problem. If they don't have it, they can order exactly what you want. Not difacult to shape it at all even with only a good really sharp knife but I do recommend a long blade with the exception of detail work.Electric knifes work nicely. Don't forget. There are lots of differant densities in car opholestery.

So many problems .... So little time
